Hey, we were able to go to the Temple today. What a blessing it is to have a Temple in your mission. It was just so peaceful and inspiring. I haven’t been able to go for 10 months. I loved just sitting in the Celestial room. It felt like love. The chandelier is representative to me of the light that comes to us through the Holy Ghost. It was great to just sit and charge my own batteries in the heart of such a sacred place. The mirrors represent the eternities of being together as families and also the partnership with God and Christ. I wish everyone could get the testimony of Temple work and the feelings you get by being there.
We also had the blessing of attending and participating in Jessica’s baptism. Elder Mitchell did the baptism. We also have the Picaso family on date for February 5th. Everyone pray for them to stay strong and on track. Also Caesar Castro is solid as ever. He gave the prayer in Sunday School and Elder’s Quorum. That’s pretty cool for him. It was also fun for us.
In Church we were rewarded for our hard work. We had 8 investigators and 14 less active coming on Sunday. It is so humbling to know we could work for Christ in helping those He would help if He were walking right along with us. We feel the Spirit with us helping to know what to do, where to go, and what to say. I used to base my testimony on the fact that everything in the Church just made sense and paralleled the teachings of the Bible. Now my conversion is based on revelation through the Holy Ghost. It was like leaving a tunnel of darkness and entering the light.
There are so many people in our area being prepared. All of us Elders and Sisters are loving the people. Everything is falling into place for so many people. Elder Mitchell and I are just having a great time together. We are hand in glove. That makes the work progress so well.
Well, keep spreading the Gospel. Live life so that others will see Christ in you. This whole Gospel is so true. It has the power to change people. How special it is to share it. Love to everyone. Thanks for your support. Elder Almquist
